Bloodline... Wedding preparations...

At the end of the day, family members are still the best!

They understand you. Criticize you but at the same time giving you ideas and feedbacks to make you better.

I just wanna express how important they are right now, especially during the crucial moments in the midst of preparation for my upcoming weddings in less than a month. Crying, scolding, laughing, arguing, and lots more but I am very sure they want the very best for me.

Mom - I know you have been trying your very hard to get the best caterer for my wedding, and I know the chosen one is not the best. Unfortunately, we just have to supplicate hard that everything will turn out good for the guests to enjoy. And to ensure the decor will be just nice for me. Plus those supports given in lots of areas that I myself didn't think of; berkat, room decorations, and the list goes on.

Kakak / Syahidah - I have never seen you sooooo excited since my engagement. Thank you for sharing your creativity for the gubahan (I love how it turned out), my henna design (can't wait how it looks like), the wedding cake, and more.

Dad - You're the type of person who doesn't talk much but will be there whenever we need you. Your support towards me till this very end is appreciated...

Aunties and cousins are always there when you need them. They are all excited and very enthusiast upon hearing the news that I'll be putting the end to my single-hood.

Bride is someone who wants everything to be as perfect as possible for her Big Day, from the minor up to the major items, she wants to know every single details. As for me, even after sitting at the dais with my Groom, I would still like to know if there's any discomfort among the guests, lacking in any place, etc etc.

Not just sitting there looking nice, smile, and enjoying every moment of it. You don't want to be a bridezilla during your wedding or few days before your wedding, aren't you? Your mood will affect the people around you. Planning everything and to ensure it is a smooth sail is definitely pressurizing, but with every one by your side, Insya Allah all will be okay and things happened for a reason. Allah has better plan for you.

Few updates on my wedding? I'm just left with my pre-wedding photoshoot. Since Mr. Fiance just received approval to wear his Number 1. Woohoo~ one of my dreams will be turn into reality soon! Insya Allah, Amiin~ Other than, just the small items like; berkat, sirih dara, and bunga rampai.

Enjoy some pictures~
Simple design rite? Mine, will be done by my Sis.
Alhamdulillah, so far all her clients are satisfied with her service.

A cozy room. I've painted my bedroom wall with Latte color. All the bedroom set are nicely set-up. Left to put up our Arabic Calligraphy names at the empty wall.
Rainbow Cake. Both sisters will be baking it for me. Nice!

I love the simplicity of the gubahan. Picture taken from Google. Since my concept is garden theme... So, this one is my choice.

Oh oh! I have yet to send out my invitation card (my side). Parents have started distributing it to family members, relatives, friends, colleagues, etc. I shall work on it soon! And just to share, I was speechless when Mr. Fiance showed me his invitation card upon collection in October. Now I know how it feels like to those who were getting married. My card? Weird but I didn't get the speechless moments when looking at mine. Sigh~ but it's okay. Things happened.

Saw it when googling some ideas. And this one caught my eyes~
So, my invitation card almost has the similar design like this.

That's it. Enjoy your day ahead, people! Salam Alaik~

Something to ponder about...

The nearer it is... The harder it gets...

That's the obstacles that I believed most couples will face upon their big day. Pressures from few aspects that lead to arguments...

And that's what I am facing with Mr. Fiancee, as the days become closer. Just 2 months away and we argued quite a lot over even a smallest matter...

However, with much understanding and patience, things will eventually passes by in a blink of eye. Doesn't matter who's at fault, either one of us must give in.

To Mr. Fiancee, if you ever come across this blog...

Thank you for being patience with my attitude. Tolerate with my nonsensical behaviours. Always being very supportive in whatever things I decided to make. Most importantly, I salute your patience's limit. I wouldn't want to trade you with any of the guys outside there. Insya Allah, I believed we can make it till the end. Just as what you have been teaching me. PATIENCE.

I am not a great person to give out advices. But I am sure a person can change when there's a will, determination, and most importantly guidance from the above (Allah S.W.T) and the love ones.

Peace out. Freedom belongs to all.

it's a new beginning...(part 6)

A lot of emotions have been going around these past few weeks just for the "The Big Day" to be as perfect as possible... Exactly 3 months away now~

Alhamdulillah... After much tears, arguments, misunderstanding... We have come to conclusions on few matters;

Honeymoon Trip
Much deliberation. Searching, discussing, thinking, here and there... We decided to go to Phuket and Bangkok for our honeymoon. No worries for the near-budget-trip location, as long as we get to relax and enjoy ourselves that is mostly more than enough.

We will be flying off to Phuket first on 15 January 2013, Insya Allah... Return back to Singapore on 17 January, and once again fly to Bangkok! Fiuuuhhh~

And this trip is just for the 2 of us. And.... Hey ho, everybody! We will be staying at Sala Phuket Resort & Spa. Awesomeness! I got blown away by only viewing their photo gallery at the website. Let me just share few pictures here from their Facebook Page...

Sala Pool Villa

Garden Pool Villa

Jealous much? Haha :) You can do your booking at their website -> www.salaresorts.com/phuket

Our purpose of choosing 2 locations, basically at Phuket is for us to relax. And to Bangkok, where we are actually bringing both families along. Just for shopping :D

And I'm contented! Because, Mr. Fiancee has pinky-promised with me for another Honeymoon trip to Paris in either March or April 2013. So, Amirah, if you are reading this... Please psycho your husband for your anniversary gift there! And we can shop there together!!! How great is that, huh?

Wedding Bands
Seriously, it is just so difficult looking for Platinum ring for guys. Not much jewelry shops that brings in Platinum. We asked almost all shops; SK, Goldhearts, Soo Kee, Taka, Meyson... Just one shop that we did not ask, thinking the price must be a "bomb" because of the "atas" brand look. It's Lee Hwa Jewelry. So, yesterday, we just stepped in and asked and voila! They do have Platinum ring for guys... And maybe luck is on our side, they are celebrating their 42nd Anniversary. Discounts, baby!!!

Our choice - bottom right
Platinum for Him
White Gold for Her

Platinum ring for guys can cost up to SGD 3K. And for this one, I'm getting it at affordable and unimaginable cheap price! Of course, white gold is my choice - another item under the Mahr.

Why not Suasa? I've googled and searched here and there... Suasa - is a mixture of copper and there's an element of gold, more to gold so that the item will not get rusty. And in Islam, men are forbidden from wearing gold (anything relating to gold).

White gold? Even though it is white but there is still element of gold in there. So Platinum or Silver is allowed, as Nabi Muhammad p.b.u.h once wore silver ring before. And Platinum is another factor of metal one of the chemical element in periodic table, mixture of nickel, and copper.

Wedding Cake
To blend in with my Garden-theme-wedding. I'm choosing to add Rainbow Cake as my wedding cake.

Both my sisters will be baking the wedding cake. I'm just feeling blessed with them... I've discussed with them the concept... So, surprise me sista!

We had fun during our selection outfits. A total of 4 outfits - White Dress for Nikah, Turquoise Ghangra for "Berinai", Songket Orange for Sanding, and Red/Black Gown for "Dinner". Satisfied with the color chosen, our favourite colors by the way!

So, now! I need to confirm with my Sanding Program Schedule... Mom!

Oh! Toodles for now peeps!

it's a new beginning... (part 5)

16th August 2012 - 150 days to the wedding...

Alhamdulillah, Mr. Fiancee and I had registered our wedding application at Registry of Muslim Marriage (ROMM) on 22 August 2012.

We chose to register straight at the ROMM and get the interview/taking of oath done on the same day. Since Mr. Fiancee and I were on Hari Raya leave. Internet kiosk are also available at ROMM.

Additional note; Couples in Singapore are to register their wedding within 150 days before the solemnization date. Registration is on online basis, and with a payment of SGD 39. And if there's any changes on the information that they have registered, additional of SGD 15 for any changes made.

And now, I just feel that the clock is ticking faster than before... Insya Allah all will be kheir!

Mr. Mitsubishi is down...

It has been two weeks since Mr. Mitsubishi is admitted to the workshop.

Mr. Mitsubishi refused to start two weeks ago while parents were driving him to Larkin. Yup, he broke down while in Malaysia. It was quite a trouble. Luckily we have a family-friend there, so he brought his member. But looks like they were unable to find the reason why. A week at a workshop in JB, we decided to bring Mr. Mitsubishi back home, cause it took them quite a while to find the reason of the break down and to purchase the equipments.

So, my mum, BIL, together with Mr. Fiancee and I, just had to face with the 3 hours massive jam at Woodlands Checkpoint. Finally I get to see Mr. Mitsubishi. Cut story short, we reached home at 3 in the morning. But being able to see Mr. Mitsubishi at the parking lot is a relieved.

He needs to get his "heart" fixed. There's some problem with the wiring connecting the ECU and motherboard. Whatever term the doctor gave, I missed driving around Mr. Mitsubishi :(

Just can't wait to bring Mr. Mitsubishi home...
